Uncle Colin......oh dearly me. I used to punch you has hard as I could, on your tummy. To no avail, but laughter. The teaching of karate kick and how to punch. Dads (Rexie's) purchase of a pool table brought about a whole new chapter in our lives. Myself and you, hustling in the pubs in camberwell, peckham, and stockwell, with uncle Aubrey and uncle Tommy in tow, covering side bets sometimes. The locals smashed one of our cars up, because me or you were taking the winnings too often, in various pubs. You were my other....driving instructor, of which I'm one now. Thankyou for your time and effort, with various jobs of plastering and building. The pool competitions were born, within our family and friends, through you. I've visited you at Howden several times. To purchase a car, or on my dance travels. It has nothing but astonished me, at what you achieved, so late in life in your new home. A full fronted Porch, a large rear porch, totally redecorating, and most impressively, having the warmest house/home in Newcastle, Wallsend, for around 10 miles at least, with that additional cladding. I recall people had asked if you would do it for there house. Lol. We had our differences, we had our disputes. You were strong willed, and steadfast. The biggest compliment I can give you uncle Col.....you were by far, a giver, and a giver, and a giver, than ever a taker. As I tear...I took a week off with intention of comming up to see you, but respected your willingness, for privacy. Take care tough guy. Rest in peace Uncle Colin. Ferin .....and uncle, be sure to know, Dirk very definitely respected you and your efforts for himself and the surrounding family. RIP
